I should have scrapped that CANON camera strap lon

I should have scrapped that CANON camera strap long ago with leather. I’m a leather worker for crying out loud! Prototyping straps for strength, comfort and simple function using Horween Old English Dublin leather. Love these @peakdesign camera strap anchor links - quick-connectors (AL-4). They are great and are rated to 200 lbs/90+ kg of force. There is also a warning layer in the material as to when the anchors should be replaced.

Brought the ‘big boy’ copper rivets out. Stamped the name, but then used some black Angelus paint over it to make it pop. On the next prototype the strap needs to be longer/adjustable, and I may scrap the neck/shoulder piece for a more simple strap. The lettering needs to be smaller so it doesn’t interfere within the stitch lines. Stitched on the COBRA 26. I use my camera extensively for product photography so will test it out over the next few weeks to see how it performs.

Holiday Edition: Our premium Italian veg tan leath

Holiday Edition: Our premium Italian veg tan leather valet, catchall or decorative tray now in candy apple red for the holidays. The interior and exterior leather, Artigiano del Cuoio (ADC) Old Fashion Red, features a beautiful glossy, slight milling (pebbling) and is hand dyed by the tannery and finished in a rouge red edge paint.

Special Notes:
Scrap the messy glue! We used @HYDBOND for this holiday edition tray. The bond between the leather is incredibly strong…so much that we decided to not sew it.

Our Hydbond Method Used:
We cut out two slightly larger pieces of leather than the @milwaukeesteeldies required.
Cut two corresponding pieces of Hydbond for each leather piece.
Used our @stahlsheatprinting 360 heat press to apply the Hydbond to each piece of leather.
Clicked out each piece for the valet tray on our American Clicker Press (now Hammerhead Industrial).
Used the heat gun to activate Hydbond in sections of both pieces (area at a time for more accurate application) until both pieces permanently joined. This is bonded as one piece of leather.
Continue product application as normal.
